The BlueRobotics 400mm Watertight Acrylic Enclosure Tube (4-Inch) is constructed from cast acrylic plastic. This series of tubes represents a significant improvement over the previous generation of watertight enclosure tubes. It features precision-machined O-ring interfaces at each end, which ensure a consistent and reliable fit with the sealing flange. The smooth surface finish of the tubes guarantees proper sealing between the O-ring flange and the tube.
The ends of the tubes are also machined to include a gland for a locking cord and a slot for cord insertion. This slot also serves as an anti-rotation feature, aligning with a feature on the flange to maintain a consistent orientation between the flange and the tube. This prevents any potential damage to the contents of the enclosure due to inadvertent rotation of the flange.
The depth ratings for cast acrylic components are applicable only for short-term submersions lasting less than two weeks. For longer submersion, we suggest using aluminum components only
